Friends!

I plan to have many friends once I get here. One of them was born on Sunday. Her name is Emma Virginia Sibert. Her mom and my mom have been friends for a long time. Also, I get to meet another friend this weekend. Her name is Amelia Stradley and her mommy and my mommy went to college together. So many people! I feel so lucky!

Moving and Shaking

I love to bump mom and sometimes dad, but yesterday I discovered how to do somersaults. This should be fun!

Vampires

Here's our little bat family. One for me, one for mommy and one for daddy. Don't you think mine is the cutest?

My Hat!

Look at my cute new hat from Tutu!! (my Tutu...not mommy's Tutu...that's G-Tutu) I think it's just dah-ling! And it will look so cute on my head (probably even cuter than it does on this butternut squash).

Reading

Daddy likes to read to me every night. We've read lots!! Mo Williems, Beatrix Potter, Dr. Seuss, Diary of a Wombat Baby, ....and the list goes on. He finally finished Cinderella last night. That's my favorite time of day when he reads to me.

Nursery

My nursery theme is going to be Fairy Tales. Mommy found this painting for my room too. Isn't it perfect?!

Halloween 2010

Mommy dressed me up as best she could this year. She promised to get me a tiara that fits better once I get here. This one will have to do for now.

Italian Food

Mom, Dad, Papa Bear and Nona Cina went out for Italian Food tonight. Mom said I will definitely like it, but right now she's left me no more room to move around!! I'm not too happy with her.

Mice

Mommy said there are some mice in the basement. These mice are really smart too because they keep licking the peanut butter off the traps. I think they want to stay and meet me....like Cinderella's mice. Maybe I can get them to make me a dress and be my friends. Mom says no.

Excitement

Now that I've been seen....everyone's excited! Mom said I could share some of her posts from her facebook page (which she said I could have when I turn 35...that doesn't sound very fair!):

Accessories

These are just as important as outfits, from what I have learned so far. Luckily I have Auntirella K and Kennedy Lee (and Uncle Travis too, of course) to start me out with great accessories early. There's even a compact, coin purse and cell phone inside. I hope Mom and Dad can increase their minutes!!

Outfits

I'm learning that these will be very important. So here is My Cinderella outfit, complete with little mouse (because Cinderella always has a mouse with her to help with chores). I can't wait to wear it soon! It's so sparkly!

Daddy's birthday presents

Check out this box that Dad got for his birthday from Papa Bear and Nona Cina. Mom was really excited!!!

Daddy's birthday

It was Daddy's birthday on Monday, so of course I got him a present!!
The bunny is Mr. Fluffernutter. Dad said he doesn't mind that I named him.
The other one is an Aardvark. I'll let Dad give that one a name. He saw it a long time ago and wanted it (Mom thought they would get it if I was a boy...but since Dad's a boy, I figured he could use it anyway).
Now we'll have stuff to play with when I get here!

I'm a girl!!! Mom said she would post actual pictures of me as soon as they get scanned in. Mom and dad were worried for a bit since I wasn't opening my legs up to let them know. But what do they expect? I'm a lady!!

Finding out...

Mom and dad find out in a week if I am a boy or girl. Mom is REALLY hoping I turn the right way so they can tell. I haven't decided if I will or not. Guess they will find out next Monday!

Halloween

This is what mom and dad really want me to be for Halloween. There weren't any baby sizes yet (only 3-4T), so they're going to have to see if that's what I want when I get there.

Pictures of Me

Finally!! A picture of me...where you can actually see me. This is mom and I at National Harbor. We just ate dinner at Rosa Mexicano. I am LOVING Mexican food now!

Predictions

Some people have tried to guess if I'm a boy or a girl. Here are the results:
-Chinese Lunar Calendar=girl
-Asking another toddler=girl
-Asking some first graders=girl, girl, then boy
-Two ladies who say they usually know=girl and boy
-How mom is carrying me=boy (although mom says it's hard to tell if she's carrying high or low)
-Girl who predicted but said she is usually wrong=boy (which could really mean girl)

Good guesses!! But I'm still not telling until October 18th.

Food

Things I like my mom to eat:
1. Moonpies
2. Nona Cina's cooking
3. Sweet stuff (tonight it was blueberry cobbler)
4. Apples (especially with caramel)
5. Frosted Mini Wheats
6. Chips

Things I do not like my mom to eat:
1. Raspberries

More names...

If I'm a girl, my name will be Ella Elizabeth. Surprisingly, they are not naming me after Cinderella (picture here...I can't wait to meet her!), but instead one of our distant relatives (Emma Ella Baldwin).
While they wait, everyone calls me Butterbean.

Names...

If I'm a boy, I'll be named after my Great G.P. So they'll call me Whitford James; Whit for short. Apparently he was quite a character, so I have some big shoes to fill.
I'll let you know about that "boy" thing on October 18th. Until then..I'm not telling!

It's hard to see, but I'm in this picture too. Mom just doesn't know it yet.
